Description
While on safari through the Masai Mara, we came across this tower of giraffes; two calves and an adult female masai giraffe that could very well be their mother. It was as if the adult giraffe was babysitting the little ones. They were curious but standing alert and cautious also. I like how the calves stand sentry together, each one looking out for the other and the female adult giraffe looking on too. Fun fact: Masai giraffes are the tallest subspecies of giraffes and can see 6km around them!

That's true, and well positioned to watch out for danger. Each one has the other's back! Thank you for visiting and slotting this photo into your favourites :)

What a great capture! Nirav, your work is so extraordinary...your captures are so well composed with such lovely light and natural color!
Nirav Shah replied:
Cheers, Carmen :) I am loving the wildlife photography journey and I appreciate your kind words! They motivate me to capture more unique moments like this. Light is always a challenge in nature's studio, but I find that it's such a good teacher as it allows me to experiment with different techniques that push me out of my comfort zone, e.g. backlit images and allow me to grow this way. I am grateful for the follow and stoked that you favourited this one!
